Is Upvc Restoration
Right For Me?
Tired & Worn Looking Upvc?
Most Upvc can be restored back to an ‘as new’ condition. Not only does this improve the look of your home, it also reduces the risk of having to replace your frames in the years ahead.
Broken Weatherseals or Gaskets?
Worn or damaged weatherseals mean that your frames will allow the weather and elements to attack your moving parts and mechanisms. This will eventually result in failure and often costly emergency repairs. Gaskets are there to help protect your glass so if they’re shrinking in the corners then its fair to say that unwanted moisture has found its way to the edge of your glass unit.
Loose Handles?
Occasionally handles will loosen, but it’s more commonly an issue that is traced back to the hinges. If your hinges have dropped or arent aligned anymore then the mechanism that locks your window shut also wont be aligned, meaning that you will need to exert more and more pressure through the handle to lock it shut. Eventually, through use, this handle then becomes loose. Our Restore service will correct these issues.
Locks That Just Don't Feel Right?
If you’re having to add undue pressure to door handles and doors to get a lock to do its job then its time to get it sorted. It’s only ever going to get worse and emergency call out costs for locksmiths can be costly and unplanned for. We’re here for even the smallest of things so talk to us and we’ll help you sort it.
Misted Glass?
Double glazed units aren’t designed to last forever. Sometimes glass can exceed its expected lifespan but when its failed its time to replace it.
Of course, you can look to a company who will drill a hole in the corner of your glass to vacuum out the moisture, or you can accept that glass technology has improved exponentially in the last 20yrs and take advantage of more thermally efficient unit fitted as standard. We know what makes sense to us. One unit or 31 units, we’ll give you a competitive quote.
Mouldy Mastic?
Mastic will degrade over time allowing its pores to open and microscopic bacteria to grow. This bacteria can be harmful to our lungs and rather unsightly to look at.
We remove all mouldy mastic, sanitise your frame, and reseal using an anti-fungal anti-mould mastic.
Windows
Restoring windows to the extent that we do is something that the average homeowner would hold short of doing themselves. The labour is intensive but thankfully this is not something that concerns us.
Every inch of your Upvc frames are 3 stage cleaned, detailed, and restored. Additionally, important attention is given to handles, hinges, locking mechanisms, weatherseals, gaskets and slot vents, glass units, frame mastics and cill end caps. Every item is methodically worked through and either restored or replaced until we are satisfied that your windows pass inspection.
The above is not an exhaustive list, more an introduction to just how serious we are about what we do.
Doors
Doors are often the most used item in your home. They’re opened and closed more regularly than any other frame, slammed in a hurry, kicked shut when you’re hands are full of shopping and yet we expect them to perform efficiently and lock properly at night.
Every inch of your door is given attention. Locking mechanisms are serviced, lubricated and checked for correct function. The locking barrel is also checked and can be replaced at this stage if needed. Frame plates are checked for security and latches are adjusted so that the keep does its job. The hinges are re-aligned meaning that the weatherseals can do their job properly and seal the weather out, whilst an unimaginable amount of detail is given to restoring that Upvc back to how it did all those years ago.
With the addition of a new set of handles and matching letterbox the end result is a door that will look like it’s just been restored.

Conservatories
Conservatories are an extension of both your home and garden. They’re also both expensive luxuries and necessary living space for some. We’ll bring your conservatory back to life with our expert hands.
Having already read above about the level of care and attention that goes into restoring windows and doors, the additional aspect to a conservatory is the roof. If you have a glass or polycarbonate roof system then our method of cleaning is the same. We use a long extendable soft bristled brush combined with a strong polycarbonate safe Upvc cleaner to clean the exterior of your roof. The edges of your roof, including the panel caps, fascias and gutters are then hand finished before moving down to work on the windows beneath.
Inside your conservatory roof we implement the same practice and method as we would for window and door frames.
The impact of a restored conservatory is something that we always stand back at the end of and admire!
Roofline Fascias, Soffits & Gutters
It’s often not until water starts dripping that you notice how Upvc fascias, soffits and gutters have deteriorated.
It is often misunderstood that fascias, soffits and gutters are only there to channel rainwater off your roof and into the drain. Whilst this is a very important function of your roofline system it is only one of them. The boards also protect the roof end timbers of your home and further allow ventilation into your roof space to prevent damp and mould issues occurring.
Our Restore service completely revitalises every aspect of your roofline. Beginning with a complete gutter clear out to remove any debris and growth and assist in the free draining of rainwater. This also gives us opportunity to inspect more closely all the unions and joints that make up your rainwater system. Any that are failing or look unlikely to last another rainy season are automatically replaced.
Following any necessary repairs, old mastics are then removed and a full and thorough 3 stage hand cleaning and restoration process begins. Finished with new vent caps and clean fresh mastic your roofline system restoration is now complete.
